From the website assignment, I learned a lot. When I had tried to create websites for other classes I never liked the way they turned out and was always disappointed by the lack of an aesthetic not for a lack of trying but more so because of a lack of understanding. With all the tutorials and explanations provided for the assignment along with a step-by-step guide for each component, I was able to create a website I was happy with and ended up showing it to my friends. For this assignment, I used balance the most, when websites are scattered and unbalanced, they are confusing and can be hard to look at so I wanted to make balance a main priority. I will definitely use website design in my future classes since it can be a great resource for both parents and students.
Background: A school district adopts a popular AI-driven learning platform that personalizes educational content for students. The platform promises to tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, identify areas for improvement, and provide real-time feedback. The data collected includes academic performance, engagement levels, response patterns, and, at times, behavioral indicators such as attentiveness and emotional responses through webcam and microphone monitoring.
I have used learning platforms like this before and have had little to no issues. One example that comes to mind is Reflex math. There were different math problems hidden as fun games which encouraged students to learn while they think they are just playing online games. This resource also had benchmarks for teachers and admin to monitor to see how students were progressing in math. I think giving informed consent to parents and students solves the ethical dilemma of giving personal information unknowingly since parents are able to consent to the spread of this information if they so choose.
Hi Kylee! I just looked at your website and I think you did a good job at following the CRAP formula. Each page was cohesive and went well with each other. I like how you made each page a different color to make it more individual. Overall, I think you did a great!
ReplyDeleteHello Kylee! I found your website to be a very visually pleasing experience. The balance of the CRAP principles was very much in place throughout your website design, and I appreciated the change of colors depending on the page.
